Rocky Mountain Chapter News

The Rocky Mountain Chapter joined the Colorado Springs “18Ns” (retired USA intelligence officers) on 16 January for the 18N monthly happy hour at Rhino’s in Colorado Springs. They connected with two prior NORAD/NORTHCOM J2s (Maj Gen [Ret] Aaron “Brain” Prupas, USAF, and RADM [Ret] Brett Heimbigner) for an evening of drinks and stimulating conversation. It was a great opportunity for everyone to come together.

NIP Rocky Mountain held a social on Wednesday, 20 November at Jack Quinn’s in Colorado Springs. President John Franklin wants to encourage all members and prospective members (retired, active, former) to take advantage of this chapter join them in future events to come together and network! 

Members of the NIP Rocky Mtn/Mtn West Chapter met up at RADM (Ret) Brett Heimbigner’s home in Colorado on 23 March to tell stories, talk the present, and plan for the future.

On Thursday, May 26, 2022, retired Captain Steve Maffeo delivered a presentation on the Battle of Midway, titled “The Battle of Midway--and Movies About (1976 and 2019):  Intelligence, Cryptanalysis, Facts, and Impressions” to the Rocky Mountain chapter.
