Lieutenant General (ret) Vincent Stewart passed away suddenly on 28 April 2023 at the age of 64.

Richard Reese McDonald—"Dick" to his many friends and "Richard" to his beloved wife of 53 years, Millie—passed away on 11 March 2023 at age 92. He served over 30 years in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence officer. 

CAPT (Ret) Tom Whittles - a Naval Intelligence legend - passed away on 10 November in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

RADM (ret) Don Harvey, the Dean of the 163X/183X community (the retired 163X/183X Flag officer with earliest date of rank as a 163X/183X) passed away 25 September 2022 in Sarasota, Florida.

Following a long battle, CAPT (ret) Stew Holbrook departed these shores on 8 September 2022. A beloved member of the Naval Intelligence community, he served as U.S. Naval Attaché to Australia, ship’s intelligence officer for the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and numerous other operational and staff assignments.

Command Master Chief “Sam” Houston, one of the last ONI/NIS Enlisted Investigators (NEC 9592), passed away at his home in San Antonio TX of 7 July 2022 at age 85. He is survived by Bernice, his wife of 62 years, five children, eighteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

CDR Michael J. Brennan, age 84, passed away at his home in Annandale, Virginia on June 24. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Patricia Brogneaux Brennan, five children, and nine grandchildren.

Robert "Bob" DiPalma died peacefully in his sleep on 31 May 2022 at Great Falls Assisted Living in Herndon, Virginia.

Charles William “Bill” Altenhof, former Naval Intelligence officer and civilian at NSA, died Friday, 25 March 2022 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts at age 78.

Retired Commander Ona Claire Solberg, of Ellensburg, Washington passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, 1 March 2022 at age 64.

Commander (Ret) Gary Lee DeWalt, 87, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in Bowling Green, Ohio

Commander Edward R. Ettner, of Lorton, Virginia, died peacefully at home, surrounded by 10 of his children on January 26, 2022.
