Captain Roland Saenz, a retired Naval Intelligence officer, passed away on 23 May 2025 in Potomac, Maryland. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, 28 June 2025, 2:00-5:00PM at 9001 Congressional Ct, Potomac, MD 20854.

Robert F. Clements, a long-time Clifton Park resident and native of New York, New York, died at age 92 on 31 October 2024 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by those he loved. He served as a as a reservist in Naval Intelligence from 1964 to 1989, ultimately retiring as a captain. 

Lieutenant Todd Hewlett passed away on 20 December 2024 after a valiant battle against ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease). His services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Tuesday, 11 March at 1500.

Lieutenant Commander John Douglas “JD” Lee passed away on 17 February 2025 in La Mesa, Arizona

Robert W. (Bob) Higgins, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Northport, New York on 4 January 2025.

The Naval Intelligence community lost one of its best this past weekend. CAPT Suzanne R. “Oscar” Meyer (age 56) passed away on Saturday, 14 December, surrounded by her loving family, after battling a long illness. 

Chief Warrant Officer Four (Ret) Marion “Sonny” Ziegler, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on 23 September 2024. 

CAPT (Ret) Frederick W. Levin, a career Naval Intelligence officer, passed away peacefully on 23 October 2024.

Frances “Fran” Muriel Gaskin passed away peacefully on 7 July 2024, in Springfield, Virginia. Born on 27 October 27 1930 in Belmont, North Carolina, Fran's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and an enduring spirit that touched the lives of many.

Stuart Jonathan Thad Shippereit of Savannah, Georgia passed away Monday 24 April 2023 at his home with family by his side. He was a NIP member from 1993 to 2015.

Larry T. Wright passed away on 4 May 2024 at age 87. 

Commander (Ret) Edward P. Gaskell, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on 25 April 2024 at the age of 96. Ed was a retired U.S. Naval Reserve Intelligence officer and a NIP member for over thirty years.
