TAPS: Passing of ISCS (Ret) Bill "Woody" Craig

William M. Craig, 63, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. Born on 16 January 1963, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy for 21 years as an intelligence specialist. His duty stations included IS "A” School in Denver, Colorado; USS Peleliu (LHA-5); USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19); VA-196; U.S Fleet Forces Command (USFFC); USS Moosbrugger (DD-980); USS Wainwright (CG-28); Atlantic Intelligence Command/US Joint Forces Command (AIC/JFCOM); USS Hayler (DD-997); and USSTRATCOM. He retired at the rank of senior chief petty officer after his last assignment at the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center in DamNeck, Virginia Beach. After retirement, Bill worked as a federal employee for the last 10 years until his passing. 

A service to honor him will take place on Saturday, 11 April 2026, at 11 AM at Baylake United Methodist Church, (4300 Shore Drive) Virginia Beach, VA.
