NIP San Diego Holds Another Successful Charity Golf Tournament

On Friday, 19 September, NIP San Diego held its 19th Annual San Diego Charity Golf Tournament at NAS North Island’s Sea-N-Air Golf course in San Diego, and it was a tremendous success. The event raised over $4000 for NIP and local charitable causes, thanks to strong corporate support. A total of 80 players took part in the friendly competition, coming in from as far away as Pennysylvania (retired CAPT J Todd Ross!) and Illinois (CAPT Tim Raymie!). Many hands contributed to making the event the success it was, with notable thanks to the primary organizers, Phil Eakin and Stan Kowalsky. As Phil aptly said, “The endless smiles in the photos capture the spirit of a good day out with members and friends, family and supporters of our Navy Intel/IW community here in San Diego.”

Congratulations to the following winning teams!

1st Place - SOGAGG (Society of Golfers Against Good Golf) -  21 under par 50
2nd Place - PMP - 20 under par 51
3rd Place - The Skull Crushers (JTodd's team) - 19 under par 52

Next year will be the 20th anniversary of the golf tournament — stay tuned for plans to make that event extra special!
