In an effort to expand our total force representation and participation in NIP and help us grow as an organization, we are looking for volunteers to be a part of our national committees. You don't need to live in the DC area —you just need to want to help get stuff done!

Specifically, we are looking for 2-3 individuals to help the committee chairs in the following areas:
PROGRAMS: The current focus of the Programs Committee is the scheduling, coordination, and execution of our monthly Virtual Speaker Series.
What we are looking for: Looking for new members (active duty, reserve and/or civilian) to join the Programs Committee and bring their ideas and enthusiasm to expanding the impact of the Naval Intelligence Professionals at the national and international level. New members would bring additional ideas and relationships to select our VSS topics and speakers. Additionally, we welcome ideas for other programs that could reach across NIP to emphasize history, education, or mentorship. One particular area for consideration in the National Capital Region is providing support to the Executive Committee for such activities as the annual Red Tie and Membership Luncheons in the spring and fall.

OUTREACH AND COMMUNICATIONS: The Naval Intelligence Professionals (NIP) Communications & Outreach Committee is responsible for shaping and amplifying NIP’s voice across its membership and the broader national-security community. The committee manages NIP’s official social media accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and engaging content that highlights events, programs, and community achievements, while maintaining brand consistency. It also oversees delivery of communications to the NIP community through email distributions and other communication platforms, ensuring messaging is clear, coordinated, and aligned with NIP’s mission and strategic priorities.
What we are looking for: The NIP Communications & Outreach Committee is seeking a volunteer to help manage and improve our email delivery and member communication systems. This role will support the execution of newsletters and member communications, while also helping the committee think strategically about modernizing NIP’s communication platforms and outreach through new technologies and tools.

PARTNERSHIPS: The Partnership Committee is a new committee that seeks to expand NIPs relationships with government, industry, and other non-profits.
