Another Night of Esprit de Corps at the 57th Annual Naval Intelligence Officers’ Dining-In

The 57th Naval Intelligence Officers' Dining-In on 7 November 2025 was another fun-filled evening for the over 100 guests who attended. This year's event took place at the Masonic Temple in Alexandria, Virginia -- a picturesque venue that provided ready access for the follow-on activities in Old Town. The highlight of the event was hearing from retired Vice Admiral James Malloy, former Deputy Commander at U.S. Central Command, whose inspiring remarks relayed his respect and appreciation, as a surface warfare officer, for the work that Naval Intelligence professionals do. He highlighted "the essential partnership between operators and intelligence professionals that has been key to any successes I can lay claim to across 36 years wearing the uniform."

To be sure, President of the Mess, Rear Admiral Mike Brookes, and Mr. Vice, Commander Seth Ephrussi, had their hands full keeping the sometimes raucous crowd in line. Ensign Jack Stalzer was the Bull Ensign for the night, and did his best to assist. Notably, there weren’t that many trips to the grog despite the levity of the audience, but all-in-all, it was a great night filled with camaraderie and esprit de corps.

Many thanks to those at the Office of Naval Intelligence who organized the event, in particular CDR Todd Moulton, LT Mary Owen, LT Chris Kester, LT Andrew Gamzon and CDR Tim Cameron.
