Husband, father, son, brother, friend, naval officer, and intelligence professional Captain (ret) John Allison, who passed away on 10 August 10 2021, reached his final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery on 17 April 27 2023. John’s interment was done with full military honors executed flawlessly by the U.S. Army’s Old Guard, the Navy Band, and the Navy’s Honor Guard.

John’s impact during his 72 years of life was reflected by those who present to show their admiration and respect. John’s children Andrew and Genevieve along with his grandchildren and siblings led the mourners, which included three former Directors of the Defense Intelligence Agency (LTG Pat Hughes, VADM Tom Wilson, and VADM Lowell Jacoby), former Director of the National Geo-Spatial Agency VADM Bob Sharp, retired Director of Naval Intelligence RADM Tom Brooks, along with former JCS and Pacific Command J2 retired RADM Paul Becker. The rest of the Fort Myer Old Post Chapel was filled with John’s many friends, including a contingent of those he served with in industry, government, and Naval Intelligence.

John, rest in peace now because your watch stands relieved — relieved by those you have mentored, trained, guided, led, encouraged, supported and befriended. May we emulate you in every way, Shipmate!
