Flag Officer Assignments

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments:

Rear Adm. Matthew J. Kohler will be assigned as commander, Information Dominance Forces Command/Director for Communications and Information Systems, N6, United States Fleet Forces Command, Virginia Beach, Virgina. Kohler is currently serving as director, J2, United States Africa Command, Stuttgart, Germany.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Daryl L. Caudle will be assigned as deputy commander, Joint Functional Component Command, Global Strike, United States Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Caudle is currently serving as deputy chief, Support/Security Agreements, Office of Defense Representative, Pakistan.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Colin J. Kilrain will be assigned as commander, Special Operations Command, United States Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii. Kilrain is currently serving as assistant commander, Joint Special Operations Command, United States Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Timothy G. Szymanski will be assigned as assistant commander, Joint Special Operations Command, United States Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Szymanski is currently serving as deputy commander, NATO Special Operations Component Command, Afghanistan.

Capt. Timothy C. Gallaudet, selected for the rank of rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Gallaudet is currently serving as executive assistant to Oceanographer/Navigator of the Navy, N2/N6E, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia.

Capt. Steven L. Parode, selected for the rank of rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director of intelligence, J-2, United States Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Parode is currently serving as Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group Fellow, Newport, Rhode Island.
