ISCM(IW/AW/SW) David M. Stanton Jr., United States Navy

Master Chief Stanton was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in May 1976 to parents David and Patricia Stanton and enlisted in the US Navy on 18 November 1998.  

Upon graduation from Basic Training in February 1999, Seaman Stanton reported to Intelligence Specialist “A” School.  Graduating in May 1999, ISSN Stanton received orders to US Southern Command, Joint Intelligence Center, Miami, FL.

While at USSOUTHCOM, ISSN Stanton was promoted to IS3 and IS2 and was selected as Junior Sailor of the Year for 1999 while serving as a Counter-Insurgency Analyst in the Colombia Branch.  IS2 Stanton reported aboard his first sea duty command in June 2001 at Strike Fighter Squadron Eight Two (VFA-82) at MCAS Beaufort, SC as the Intelligence and Operations Department Leading Petty Officer where he was promoted to IS1 in May 2003.  During his four-year tour with VFA-82 IS1 Stanton deployed four times onboard USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71), USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65) (two deployments) and USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72). 

In May 2005, IS1 Stanton reported onboard Joint Intelligence Center Pacific, Honolulu, HI where in August of 2007 he was selected to Chief Petty Officer.  While onboard PACOM JIOC, ISC Stanton deployed onboard USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) (TAD) and was selected as Senior Sailor of the Year for 2005. 

In January 2008, Chief Stanton reported onboard USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) homeported at Naval Station Mayport, FL as an Independent Duty Intelligence Specialist.  While onboard USS THE SULLIVANS, Chief Stanton deployed twice in 2008 and 2010 and was selected as the 2009 recipient of the Sullivans Foundation Leadership Award.  In May of 2010, Chief Stanton was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  In December 2010, Senior Chief Stanton reported to Nimitz Operational Intelligence Center at the Office of Naval Intelligence, Washington, DC as Command Senior Enlisted Leader. 

In January 2013, Senior Chief Stanton arrived onboard USS ESSEX (LHD 2) as the Intelligence Function Leading Chief Petty Officer.  In May of 2015 he was selected to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer.  

Following a deployment onboard USS ESSEX (LHD 2), Master Chief Stanton reported onboard OPNAV N2N6 Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, DC where he served as the Intelligence Specialist Senior Rating Advisor and Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare.  In July 2018 Master Chief Stanton reported onboard Naval Personnel Command where he served as the Senior Intelligence Specialist Detailer and the Information Warfare Enlisted Distribution (PERS 408) Leading Chief Petty Officer until May 2021.  Master Chief Stanton currently serves as the Intelligence Specialist Enlisted Community Manager onboard the Bureau of Naval Personnel in BUPERS 327 Information Warfare Enlisted Community Management.      

Master Chief Stanton currently resides in Bartlett, TN with his wife of 22 years, Mrs. Stephanie J. Master Chief Cheri C. Galvez, USN, Intelligence Training Manager, Naval Information Warfighting Development Center West

Master Chief Galvez enlisted in the Navy from Covington, Georgia in 1996, and attended Electronic Warfare “A” and “C” school at Corry Station in Pensacola, Florida.  In 1998, she served aboard  USS FIFE (DD-991), in Everett, Washington, as an Electronic Warfare Technician. She served at the Naval Personnel Command in 2002, as the Electronic Warfare Technician junior rating detailer.  In 2005, she cross-rated to Intelligence Specialist, and attended Intelligence Specialist “A” and “C” school in Dam Neck, Virginia.  She returned to sea duty onboard USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN-76), in San Diego, California, and after her selection to Chief in 2006, she served as the Leading Chief Petty Officer from 2006-2008.  In 2008, she reported to the Joint Intelligence Operations Center, U.S. Pacific Command, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, as the Leading Chief Petty Officer for China Division, and was selected for Senior Chief in 2009. In 2011, she reported to the USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD-8) as the Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and the Joint Intelligence Center Leading Chief Petty Officer, and was selected for Master Chief in 2013. In 2014, she transferred to Naval Special Warfare Command, in Coronado, California, and in 2016, deployed to CJSOTF-I at Camp Keating IV, BDSC, Iraq.  She served as the Fleet Intelligence Specialist at Commander, U.S. Third Fleet from 2018-2020. She served as the Senior Enlisted Leader at Carrier Strike Group Fifteen from 2020-2023. She is currently assigned as the Intelligence Training and Development Manager at Naval Information Warfighting Development Center, West in Coronado, California.  

Master Chief Galvez is a graduate of Excelsior College and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Management. She is a Project Management Institute certified Project Management Professional.  Her awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, two Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Commendation Medal, three Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.  She is a recipient of the Director of Naval Intelligence, Rear Admiral Edwin T. Layton Leadership Award.  Additionally, she has earned the Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist, Enlisted  Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist designations, and has certified as an Afloat Training Specialist.  Her favorite off-duty activities are practicing jiu jitsu at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu South Bay and spending time with her husband and two adult sons in and around beautiful San Diego. 


Master Chief Robert A. Morris II, USN, Intelligence Requirements Officer / Rating Advisor, OPNAV N2N6Q – Intelligence Division

Intelligence Specialist Master Chief Petty Officer Robert A. Morris II, a native of East Tennessee, enlisted in the Navy on 19 July 2006. After completing basic training, he reported to Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Command, Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he completed Intelligence Specialist ‘A’ School and Naval Imagery Interpreter ‘C’ school technical training. 

His early assignments included U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Bahrain as a first and second-phase Imagery Interpreter and then the USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70) from 2008-2010 as the OZ Division LPO. In 2010, he was selected for assignment to Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and in 2013, he was selected for Chief Petty Officer. From 2010-2015, he completed five operational deployments to three areas of responsibility in leadership roles and as an ISR Tactical Controller. In 2015, he was selected to Special Reconnaissance Team TWO at Little Creek, VA where he deployed to outstations in East Africa and served as the SRT-2 N2 LCPO. 

In 2018, he was promoted to Senior Chief and served as the IS Rating Lead at the Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) where he was responsible for Navy-delivered intelligence training offered to all IS Sailors and Intelligence Officers. In May of 2022, he was selected to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. 

In January 2023, ISCM Morris reported to OPNAV N2N6Q where he currently serves as an intelligence programs requirements officer and the Intelligence Specialist rating advisor. 

Master Chief Morris is a graduate of Norwich University and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (234, Gray). He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Strategic and Digital Communications from the University of Tennessee.  His decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Presidential Unit Citation, and various other personal, unit, and campaign awards. 

Master Chief Morris currently resides in Springfield, VA with his wife Mrs. Mishae B. Morris, and three children: Ariana Jolee (9), Camreigh Nicole (7), and Declan Robert (5).
