CDR James Martin Takes Over as Capital Chapter President from Dave Mattingly

On 4 Jun, NIP’s Capital Chapter tried something a bit different for its monthly social. We decided to join Team RWB for their weekly 5K run/walk in Old Town Alexandria, followed by social time at the American Legion Post 24 for Taco Tuesday.

Under beautiful blue skies, members of the NIP Capital Chapter ventured out to the Bleu Frog Vineyards in Leesburg, Virginia on 20 April 2024—and the winery did not disappoint!

NIP members gathered on 9 April in honor of IBoss VADM Kelly Aeschbach’s visit to the D.C. area for the Sea Air Space 2024 Exposition taking place at National Harbor. The happy hour was held at the Irish Whisper Pub, with more than two dozen intelligence professionals showing up over the course of the evening. 

NIP’s Capital Chapter held its March Social at the Union Street Pub in Old Town Alexandria on 20 March. A smaller than usual crowd gathered, but it was, once again, a great opportunity to catch up with folks, meet new people, and recruit members for NIP!

Over 25 Naval Intelligence professionals—junior and senior, active duty, retired, civilians--gathered at the Union Street Pub in Old Town, Virginia on the last day of January for our monthly social.

NIP's DC Chapter had a small, but quality turnout for its happy hour on 12 October at the Bier Garden in Old Town Alexandria, VA.

The DC Chapter held a no-host social at the Union Street pub in Old Town, Alexandria on Tuesday, 26 September 2023. Around 20 members (and some non-members) showed up, with a mix of active duty and retirees.

Members from NIP's DC Chapter, along with members from the Naval Order of the U.S. National Capital Region, toured the Cold War Museum in Warrenton, Virginia on Saturday, 11 February 2023. Following a general introduction to the museum provided by the museum docents, the members were given time to peruse the museum on their own. 

NIP Members gathered on 1 December at Sonoma Cellars in Old Town (Alexandria, Virginia) for an informal social to “meet and greet” old and new members.
