IWTC SD Chief Petty Officer Selectees Perform Community Service on USS Midway

On 8 September, the chief petty officer (CPO) selectees from Information Warfare Training Command (IWTC) San Diego did their community service project on the USS Midway with Midway docent Diana Guglielmo. The service project included cleaning, restocking, and preparing exhibits for the Midway Museum guests, new space restoration, and a "foreign object damage" (FOD) walk-down on the flight deck and hangar bay. The selectees did a fantastic job, and after completing their service, they wanted to stay on board a bit longer. Guglielmo took them to the Chiefs' mess and docent locker on the ship and led them in a mentoring session. "The Chiefs' Mess is the USS Midway’s original chiefs' mess that has been restored to its previous glory. It is fun for them to see a ship’s CPO mess, particularly since they are on shore duty right now, so I wanted to show them what a ship’s CPO mess looks like,” said Guglielmo.

Congratulations to all the CPO Selectees!

LCDR (Ret) Diana Guglielmo (with yellow ball cap) took the IWTC CPO selectees to the CPO Mess on Midway and led a mentoring session with them.
